AEDBF Europe is pleased to announce the publication of the second volume of the proceedings of its 2024 Annual Conference, now available in the 2026/1 issue of the Revue internationale des services financiers (RISF) / International Journal for Financial Services.
This second volume continues the reflections initiated in the first issue, focusing on the evolution of the European Banking Union and its ability to respond to an increasingly complex risk environment. More than ten years after the establishment of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), the Banking Union has reached a new stage of institutional maturity while facing emerging challenges, including climate-related financial risks, technological disruption such as quantum computing, and other evolving systemic threats.
The publication brings together contributions from Paola Lucantoni, Giovanni Bassani, Dragos Manescu, Adelina Badescu, Riccardo Canossa, Daphne Farmaki, Filippos Siozos, and Marina Teller, offering a thoughtful assessment of the current state of the Banking Union and the issues that will shape its future development.
AEDBF Europe warmly thanks all contributors, as well as the RISF editorial team — Katrin Deckert and Mélanie Castermans — for their invaluable support throughout the publication process. Special appreciation is also extended to Bertrand Bréhier and Filippos Siozos for coordinating this volume.
